Trail Riding from the Highland Lake Inn

Bike & Stay Packages

We offer 36 miles of biking on the Northern Rail Trail, which has a flat, hard stone

dust surface well suited for hybrid bikes. Open views across wetlands, lakes and rivers

alternate with corridors of pine and oak, old mill sites and granite cuts blasted by the Northern Railroad. In between, there are stores with refreshments and swimming spots.

Maple Sugar Weekend

The Highland Lake Inn has partnered with a local sugar house to offer "Maple Madness" packages that includes a two night stay offering sumptuous country breakfasts with maple syrup as the featured ingredient, sugar house tour, demonstration, tasting and much more for what promises to be a mmm...mmm...sweet time

The warming days of March makes the sap run heralding the approach of spring and all month long the Tucker Mountain Maple Syrup Co-Op will be busy collecting and boiling just a mile away from the Highland Lake Inn. Guests can join collecting the buckets as well as boiling the syrup in a romantic sugar house.
